Intermittent rain did not prevent 600 participants to attend the first Redhub event of 2022.
Redhub is all about a family day out for all. Multisport events for Swimmers Triathletes and Duathletes. Redhub events utilize the pristine setting in nature at Cradle Moon Lakeside Game Lodge Lodge. The event options cater for the serious athlete or the weekend warrior. We have now added the Super Sprint option for age groups from 12 years old or the same event for older athletes wanting to get a start in Triathlon or wanting to complete a Triathlon over a shorter compact distance.
The events on 30 January incorporated the Central Gauteng Triathlon road Triathlon Championships for 2022. The day went exceptionally well in challenging weather conditions.
Central Gauteng road triathlon teams were selected to attend National Championships.
FOCUS NOW TURNS to MTB Triathletes, as the upcoming Redhub event on 6 March will incorporate Central Gauteng Cross Triathlon Championships. Triathletes should visit the website and enter one of 3 options for mountain bike (Cross) Triathletes. Age group racing on the day will be for age groups starting at 12-15 years for the Super Sprint event, 16-19 years for the Sprint event and older athletes will compete in the Standard or Sprint distance event. It is indeed time to restore Cross Triathlon participation numbers to the glory days of Xterra.
