7 March Race Report

A sunny warm and happy day of racing for 750 athletes in various groups and start batches. With no major hiccups, the day was a fantastic success! Images taken at the event tell the story.

The lap racing worked for participants, as could be seen from the happy faces, expressions and feedback.

The cradle area is not known for many flat areas. Routes are undulating and challenging. Redhub has managed to simplify the MTB routes and will enhance the markers and controls even more for upcoming events.

The idea of the series is to provide a set but wide range of options to participants with an Ultra distance race once a year. The same set of options minus the Ultra distance race would be available to participants on 11 April.

11 April would be a final chance for all competitors to show their metal before the winter break and autumn race in September.

Credit to all involved, including the venue for making such a complex race program work on the day.

Redhub is an important development event for Triathletes in the Gauteng area. Many triathlon first-timers are part of the event on every race day. The events id is known for serious racing at the front of the events blended with smiling first-timers and family members in the field.

Just the way it is intended!
